As you step onto the dancefloor, you’re curious, and maybe even a little apprehensive.


Take a deep breath in, exhale out.


Sense your heart beating.

Feel your feet on the floor.


As you inhale, sense the space around you. Is it cool or warm on your skin?

Notice the thoughts going through your head.

Will I fit in?

Will I measure up?


Stepping into something new can often stir up that innate sense of fear or anxiety. That’s completely normal.


What feelings or emotions are present? What sensations are present in your body? You might be feeling a little anxious or have butterflies in your stomach?


You recognize this sensation as being fully present, alive, and excited for what’s to come, and that’s okay.

Remember to breathe, and as you exhale, allow any feelings of tension or nervousness to dissolve and melt away.

Draw a deep breath in, using your strongest sense, smell the moment. Feel the life force energy pulsing in your body, enjoy the comfort of being by yourself in quiet stillness as you begin to reawaken the senses.

Sense the power of being fully present. Right here. Right now.

Listen to the music.

Connect with the melody.

Feel the beat.

Learn to integrate.
